Scrapbook Saturday

Hi everyone! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Today is Scrapbook Saturday at Erica's Cricut Craft Room.

I'm happy to to be featured today with my layout I created mostly with leftovers.  I did a little organizing
and found these cuts I made long before I started using my Gypsy. I really had forgotten all about them. After finding the right paper and photo, I put this together.

I made the cuts from Hoot 'n' Holler, a Cricut Lite cart, with the intentions of using for them in a layout for my granddaughter Jayde, who had just graduated high school. I'm so glad I found them and completed this layout!

I really recommend the Cricut Lite carts for beginners.  The layering is all laid out for you and is so easy to follow.

I used the little owl at the top (above).
If you will notice everything in black is No Shift and everything in gray is With Shift.
Just follow and layer.

I popped up the leaves on the tree .

I made the flowers cutting a 12' strip of black cardstock. Cut the width of the strip of cardstock half of what you want the flower's width to be.  I used my Martha Stewart score board and scored the strip every 1/4 inch. Fold back and forth making hills and valleys and glue the ends together.  Press it flat and squeeze the center in as close as you can get it and glue to cardstock circle made using circle punch to hold together.  Let dry, turn over and use whatever you would like to decorate the center.
I found some buttons in colors to coordinate with my layout.

Background paper is My Mind's Eye, Bloom & Grow
Blue scalloped circle from my stash
Black rick rack JoAnn Essentials

Thanks for stopping by
and

Happy Crafting!
