These are a few cards I made for this weeks challenge at Cricut Craft Room, hosted by Erica, she is trying to gather 1000 cards for Operation Write Home. This is a time for family and friends to gather and honor our soldiers, I hope everyone has a wonderful Memorial Day. Thanks for stopping by and happy crafting!

Wedding Cake

First daughter, first wedding to plan and you want everything to be perfect! No problem! Wouldn't you know the cake that we absolutley LOVE, featured on  the Oprah Show, can't be made! At least not where we live. I checked with the cake shop in New York to see how it was made and was told the flowers were made from gum paste. What?
No pressure! I was sure I could do this, it couldn't possibly be that hard.  I found a book, a tool kit for making gum paste flowers, all the goodies it takes and two months later we had the beautiful flowers we
needed for the cake we LOVED.
This was my submission in the one of the weekly challenges at Cricut Craft Room, hosted by Erica, I always wanted tell this story in my scrapbooks, now I have.  I used Sweethearts, Wild Card and Home Accents. Thanks for stopping by.  Happy crafting!

Hugs & Kisses

My passion has always been layouts but my challenge at Cricut Craft Room included cards. This is like my second card ever, but I'm sure I will be making more!  I had so much fun making this card, inspired by all my crafty friends.  The challenge was to use the creative features only on any of our Cricut cartridges. I chose the Live Simply cartridge and used the Layer feature.

The New Blogger on The Block

Wow I can't believe I'm doing this! Up until now I have only shared my crafting with family and friends. Now I'm opening up to a whole new world...the world wide web that is!
Recently I found a group of ladies on Facebook and they were having so much fun!  I started with a couple of challenges and I have to admit the "that's so cute!" comments were addicting!  Who doesn't like that!
The comradery and helpfulness of this group is unbelievable and I'm happy to say I'm now part of them at  www.facebook.com/cricketcraftroom , hosted by Erica, who is most interested in creating a group to share her knowledge about Cricut. I'm so happy to have found this new "family".  Come join the fun with  Erica and tell her Connie sent you. Happy Crafting!
