My Cricut Craft Room 100 Cartridge Blog Hop

Welcome to Day Two of  Erica's Craft Room 100 Cartridge Blog Hop. You should have come from the very talented Lezlye .

Today I have two projects that I'm very excited to share. One is my first attempt of a tri-fold card. Everyone should know by now I'm not a card maker but I came across this Christmas card by Crafting with Katie on Everyday Cricut, so I challenged myself.  Believe me it would not have been possible without Katie's instructional video see HERE Thank you Katie!

Carts I used~
Tis the Season
Wild Card
George and Basic Shapes

The base was made with a 12x24 mat.  It is an A-2 card 12'' wide, folded 4" wide.
The instructions on how to make the base is best shown in a video of which I will refer you to Katie's.
She makes it very easy to follow.  I chose different words and cut, which is what is so great about creating with your Gypsy.  I have saved the base file and can go back to this and add different words and design for different occasions.
With the Tis the Season cart I used <tree3> pg. 17 #55
The decoration on the tree is the Layer Feature Key #55. After cutting it out I added Deco Art Glistening Snow Writer and let it dry 2-3 hours before applying it to tree.
The red Christmas balls are Recollections Glitter Shapes.

The paper is DCWV, The Merry Christmas Stack
After seeing it posted here I might add some presents under the tree.
What do you think?

My second project was also inspired during my web surfing.  I found these adorable lollipop holders that were made with a die designed by Emma of  My Creative Time. I knew I wouldn't be able to order and get them in time to make for the hop and as it turns out they are so popular they are sold out but will be available again on December 7th.  You can find them (Stiched Lollipop Holder Die) in her store and you can bet I'll be purchasing them along with some of her All Around Stamps. Check them out, they are so cute!

Well then on to plan B!

I decided to try to make them using my Cricut carts and Gypsy.  Have I told you how much I love my Gypsy?

Ok, this took a bit of searching but I found the cuts I needed in Billionare, George and Basic Shapes and Art Philosophy.

This is the lollipop holder or anything else that you that you might want to use as a super creative gift.
The possibilities are endless!

I used the <tie-s> in Cricut Cartridge Billionare and used the hide/contour on the Gypsy to hide the suspenders. I then made a duplicate, flipping one and putting them end to end. The center square is from George and Basic Shapes and the scalloped circles  are from the Art Philosophy Cart. <Circle 3> Pg. 41 #21

The outline in red is showing what will be cut out after welding.

This is a sample of the cut and how I scored the bottom.

The cardstock is from the Martha Stewart 12x12 Frosty Gingerbread paper pad. I punched two holes in the center of both circles, placed the lollipop in the center, laced the ribbon through and tied the bow. I topped off the bow with a candy cane brad from my stash.

Next you should go to

Here is the entire lineup in case you get lost.
