Welcome to My Cricut Craft Room's Fall Favorites Blog Hop
You should have started at Erica's My Cricut Craft Room, if not please start at the beginning.
I love all of the holidays but Halloween is just plain FUN! Today I'm going to share a layout I just made about the Halloween party we had last year for my grandsons and their friends. We had a haunted barn that I helped decorate but I let the older kids dress up in spooky costumes to lie in waiting for the unsuspecting visitors. I got a big kick watching them pop out and surprise everyone
until my son surprised ME when he started up the chainsaw! (No one was injured in this production!)LOL!
We also had an old fashioned apple bobbing and a hay ride to the cemetary.
Oh, and lots of TREATS!
There were so many pictures I decided to put together a collage of a few of them.
Carts I used~
Happy Hauntings~
Bone (get it?) Appetit - cut .79-1.60
Indie Art~
Scull and crossbones #12 - cut 1.84-2.18
Sophisticated~
Chandelier - cut 3.43-3.49
Frame - #56 pg. 67 Base cut 3.99-4.18 Frame cut 4.34-4.18
The chandelier in Sophisticated didn't have candles so I used the candles from Best of 2006 cart.
I wanted to hang the chandelier from the top of the page so I used this border for a chain from the Elegant Cakes cartridge. cut 2.75-0.29
Art Philosophy~
Border pg. 66 Font layer cut 5.50-0.91
Flowers pg. 69 Font layer/shift cut 3"
Background paper is My Mind's Eye~Mischievous
Orange and cream floral patterned paper is Recollections Midnight Magic Paper Pad
The stamp Eat drink and be Scary is Studio G
The Treats~
For the mummified cupcakes pipe white frosting into random strips across a cupcake. Dots of red and black frostings make up the eyes.
The bloodshot eyeballs are peanut butter balls dipped in white chocolate. I then painted veins with a small paintbrush using red food coloring. Pipe small dots of black icing for the pupils.
