REALLY?
It's really hard to believe my granddaughter Jayde is now 20!
She's a wonderful young lady...a country girl but LOVE'S her bling so I came up with a little purse and card that I knew she would love!
The little purse is from the Cricut Forever Young cart and the card is all from the wonderful
Close To My Heart Art Philosophy cartridge.
Knowing Jayde's personality it was easy to come up with the color scheme and papers I wanted to use.
I used Core Impressions from Cosmo Cricut for the purse, it had an embossed pattern that I thought would work great with the Anna Griffen animal print patterned paper, which is flocked and feels like velvet.
Here's an example of the purse in plain white paper to show what you will cut out. It's found on page 25 in the handbook <Model2> Purse cut at 11.53-5.15 on my Gypsy using the solid color cardstock
Then press shift <Model2-s> to get the shape for the front ( animal print patterned paper cut at 4.55-5.15)
For a handle, I punched two holes in the center fold of flap pulled through black velvet ribbon and placed knots on the inside.
I finished with a little turqouise bling on the latch.
I have to tell you I came up with the card at the last minute. I'm not a card maker...but I'm learnng to like it!
I pulled the colors from the purse I made and grabbed the Close To My Heart My Acrylix Stamp Set 'LookWho's', found the coordinating banner and label on my Art Philosophy cart to stamp, chose a base shape and I had a CARD!
The card base is <Square7> pg 34 cut at 11.25-5.50
Label is <oval4> pg 52 cut at reccomended size on stamp sheet 2"
I cut the shadow layer in turquoise at 2.25"
Banner is <Banner2> pg 29 at 1.25"
Shadow layer at 1.50"
Cut 5 for P A R T Y
Flower is <Flower5> pg 48 cut at 2.50
I added a Twine flower that I just learned how to make following a great tutorial by Tracey. Thanks Tracey! You can find the Twine Flower Tutorial on her blog Garden of Grace.
